Nicole Malliotakis Meets with Elected Leaders in Athens

    Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R,C,I-Brooklyn, Staten Island) met with Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, Chief of Hellenic Defense, and Vice Admiral Georgios Giakoumakis in Athens on July 28 to discuss Greece’s defense, the refugee crisis, Cyprus and recent events in Turkey.  She also met with New Democracy Leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis about voting rights for Greek citizens living or working abroad and the current economic crisis.
Malliotakis, a board member of the World Hellenic Interparliamentary Association, is in Athens this week with colleagues representing Australia, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States for a series of meetings with Greek officials.
Meetings with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Tourism, Parliament President Nikos Voutsis and President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos are also scheduled.
