SPOKANE, WA (BUSINESS WIRE) – Project Beauty Share, a Spokane, Washington non-profit that collects personal hygiene and beauty products and distributes them through nonprofit organizations who serve women and families overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness, and poverty, announces National Beauty Drive, a new national initiative together with privé Hair Products.

If you are inspired by Marie Kondo and are tackling spring cleaning, don’t forget to tidy up your beauty stash! If a product doesn’t spark joy for you, donating it to women in need through the #NationalBeautyDrive campaign certainly will. Project Beauty Share is an important voice for women, and #NationalBeautyDrive is hoping to inspire a nationwide movement of women helping women.

Project Beauty Share and privé Hair Products are encouraging supporters to sign up on the Project Beauty Share’s website to participate in the #NationalBeautyDrive campaign, May 1 through May 31. By signing up, participants agree to gather their ‘tribe’ (friends, mommy club, book club, sorority, etc.) to collect new hygiene items (shampoo, deodorant, razors, tampons, etc.), and find an agency or shelter to donate to in their community that aligns with Project Beauty Share’s mission. Participants are also asked to follow @project_beauty_share on Instagram or @projectbeautyshare on Facebook and upload a short video or photos of their efforts using #NationalBeautyDrive, along with a short caption about what “beauty in the giving” means to them.

Project Beauty Share will select a standout participant from among the submissions to receive 120 privé Hair Products to be donated to their selected shelter or agency, based on their statement and how their chosen agency aligns with the Project Beauty Share mission. To further thank them for their contributions, Project Beauty Share t-shirts will be sent to them and their tribe.

Project Beauty Share is a Spokane, Washington non-profit, established in 2010 by Executive Director Julie Farley, a professional makeup artist for more than 30 years, and the former owner of The Make-Up Studio in Spokane. Nearly 100% volunteer-driven, Project Beauty Share collects new and barely-used hygiene and beauty products, sorts and sanitizes them, then distributes them to more than 70 agencies and non-profits who are helping marginalized women get back on their feet.
