MANHATTAN – The photography exhibition, The Island of Nisyros: A Photographic Essay by Dr. Katherine Schwab, Professor of Visual and Performing Arts at Fairfield University, opened on February 28, at the Consulate General of Greece in New York, 69 East 79th Street in Manhattan, and will be on view through March 14. The exhibition has been organized by the Program in Art History & Visual Culture in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Fairfield University and it forms the third exhibition collaboration with the Consulate General of Greece in New York. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM-2:30 PM.

MANHATTAN – Garden Muses, a solo exhibition of recent paintings by Greek-born artist Margaret Tsirantonakis is on view February 23-March 23 at the Prince Street Gallery, 530 West 25th Street in Manhattan. TARPON SPRINGS, FL – Dancing As One: The Greek Community of Tarpon Springs Documentary Premiere & Panel Discussion takes place on Thursday, Mar. 14, 7-9 PM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral’s Spanos/Pappas Community Center, 348 N. Pinellas Avenue in Tarpon Springs. Free Admission. The 50-minute production was created by videographer Kosta Lekkas & director Eleni Christopoulos-Lekkas, with the assistance of the City’s Curator of Arts & Historical Resources/producer Tina Bucuvalas and public television consultant Christopher Holmes. The filmmakers will be joined by respected choir director/dance instructor John Lulias for a panel discussion following the premiere. The documentary and the premiere/panel discussion are supported by grants to the City of Tarpon Springs from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Florida Humanities Council. MANHATTAN – Remaking Cyprus: A New Era of Vertical + Horizontal Development takes place on March 26, 6:30-10 PM at MEET @ Soho, 466 Broome Street, 4th floor, in Manhattan. The Architecture Engineering and Construction Committee of the Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to our inaugural industry event which will consist of short topical talks by industry experts in Cyprus, focusing on how high rise tower and marina projects are affecting Cyprus’ economic and physical landscape.
