CONCORD, MA – Costas Pantazis died at the age of 41. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Sarah. Costas was the adored son of John and Nina (Hantzis) Pantazis, beloved brother of Thanos Pantazis and his wife Maria, and doting uncle of Theoni and Nepheli Pantazis. He is survived by his mother-in-law, Maria Stathis, sister-in-law Katrina, brother-in-law, Andrew Couture, and nieces and godchildren Hannah and Madelyn. Costas is also survived by his cousins, Maria, Dean, Bill, Peter, Gina, Michael, Joanna and Maria, his aunts, uncles, godchildren and many, many, many friends.
Costas was born in Boston and attended Concord Public schools, The Carroll School, Chapel Hill/Chauncy Hall and Beaver Country Day. Graduating from Curry College in 1999 with a degree in communications, Costas spent many hours at Curry’s Radio Station, WMLM FM. After working in radio sales, he began a real estate holding company, owning properties in Bedford, Lexington, Shrewsbury, and Natick.
He had a phenomenal memory and was an encyclopedia of sports. It didn’t matter the team or the tournament. He knew and remembered, having years and years of information at his fingerprints. He coached both high school basketball and tennis and was named co-coach of the year. Costas’s wonderful memory extended to music. He could name the singer, group, composer, and lyrics of countless songs. His love and caring extended to his many kitties. Kind and generous, Costas was gentle and soft spoken. He forgave every wrong and offered help to friends and strangers in need. He was a believer in fair play and provided total loyalty to his wife, family and friends. His beautiful voice and the kindness of his heart will live in all of us forever.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Gifford Cat Shelter, 30 Undine Road, Brighton, MA 02135.
