NEW YORK- Greek-American businessman Michael Psaros donation $100,000 to the Order of Archons of Saint Andrew of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in order to start an initiative in social media. This initiative is intended to a
ssist the mission of the Order in order to promote religious freedom for the Ecumenical Patriarchate, as well as freedom for the uninterrupted performance of worship for all religious minorities in Turkey, where the Ecumenical Patriarchate is located.
Archon Governor Dr. Anthony Limberakis said “we’re thankful for the generosity of Archon Michael Psaros because thanks to this we will be able to promote our message more effectively regarding religious freedom to a future global audience of billions of people through social media, which is rising to become the most popular means of
communication, especially for the younger generations.”
Psaros stated that “the spiritual message of the Ecumenical Patriarchate is timeless and I consider it a privilege being able to contribute to the promotion of this message of peace through this new communication media.”
The Archons said Psaros will fund the efforts to promote the Ecumenical Patriarchate by the Order of Saint Andrew for one full year using Customedialabs electronic communications company, which is headquartered in Wayne, PA.
Customedialabs Executive Director Manos Sifakis said that “our experience is in the creation of educational experiences for the users of electronic media, which our clients wish to inform. In this case the task is even easier due to the global nature of the message we were given.”
The Archons ’announcement came just days after the conferring of their highest honor, the Athenagoras Human Rights award, upon Vice President Joe Biden, who is a proponent of the Patriarchate and has visited it twice.
