NEW YORK. – Greek-American Madeline Singas, acting District Attorney for Nassau County and candidate for her own full term entered the polling area at the Munsey Park Elementary School in Manhasset Long Island accompanied by her husband Theo Apostolou and their twin children, Deme and Bill, and cast her vote on primary day, Sept. 10.

Singas told TNH of her appreciation for the support she has received from the community and expressed confidence she would win the Democratic nomination.

In response to a question about the upcoming elections in Greece, Singas told TNH “My heart beats for my Greek brothers and sisters who are suffering and I hope they will pass quickly through this difficult period.”

Singas’ husband , Theo Apostolou, also expressed his appreciation for the warm and enthusiastic support of their fellow Greek-Americans and was focused on the general election and Madeline Singas’ Republic opponent, Kate Murray when he told TNH “Nassau County needs a professional prosecutor and not a professional politician in charge of the DA’s office.”

Murray, whose general experience practicing law is limited, has never been a prosecutor.
