Every year our Festival sponsors a number of AR charities and celebrates the diverse cultures of our Little Rock community. MANHATTAN – Family Sunday on May 21 at the Onassis Cultural Center New York, Olympic Tower, 645 Fifth Avenue at 51st Street in Midtown, brings together children, their families, and caregivers for interactive tours, live music, art projects, and guided conversation around the theme of emotions. In conjunction with the critically acclaimed exhibition A World of Emotions: Ancient Greece, 700 BC – 200 AD on view through June 24, the free event features sessions of scheduled programs with tours that begin at 11:30 AM and last approximately 75 minutes each. Everyday Emotions, for ages 5 to 9, explores the importance of everyday emotions through the stories of Ancient Greece. Participants will go on an exhibition tour featuring live music that highlights the emotions of the artifacts. Musicians will help you put your feelings into music and you will leave with an original song inspired by the exhibition, as well as a family art piece. Advance registration required. Messages from Ancient Greece, for ages 10-12, takes place from 3:30-4:45 PM and explores what the writings of Ancient Greece tell us about how people were feeling. WESTON, MA – The Greek League Basketball Games presented by the Teddy Kariotis Foundation and greekboston.com. Enjoy a night out with fellow Greeks of Boston for some fun competition! Games will be hosted at the Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown Street in Weston. This season will feature teams from Arlington, Boston, Roslindale, Lexington, Norwood and West Roxbury.
